Reading programs
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Build vocabulary and early literacy skills with a low-pressure reading challenge for any child who has not yet started kindergarten.
How it works: Track the books you read using the library’s color-the-shapes log. Bring in each completed 100-book log to receive a special sticker or bookmark and a milestone photo.
When you finish: Your child receives a Certificate of Completion and a photo, both as a hard copy and on our online Wall of Fame.
Ask library staff for a reading log and help getting started.
Summer Reading Program
Take part in the library’s Summer Reading Program and keep track of your reading using the online reading log.
Contact the library for current program details.
